1. Register at the website of the Competition.
2. Save the numerical code, which must be used with their photographs and participation fees mailed to the address of the Competition.
3. Pay their participation fees in cash, in US Dollar or UAE Dirham equivalent only, as following:
     a. Individual participation in the Main Theme: US $ 20
     b. Individual participation in the General Themes: US $ 10 for each theme
     c. Individual participation in all themes (Main and General): US $ 45
     d. Group participation in all themes(Main and General): US $ 40

4. For those wishing to send subscription fees directly to EPC bank account, please send them to the following address and attach a copy of transfer receipt with the participation photographs. Note that the competition administration will not be responsible for the additional commissions that may result from the transfer of charges, and checks are not accepted.

5. Individual participations (professionals, amateurs, students) and group participations (clubs, associations, public or private photography centers) are accepted from around the world, provided that their works are sent on a single CD with separate file for each photographer in addition to full details and participation fees and that each group participation include at least 10 photographers.
6. Photographer can participate in one, some, or all of the themes (Main and General).
7. Each photographer can individually participate with no more than four photographs in each theme.
8. Participant has the right to participate with a portfolio only in the Main Theme, provided that such a portfolio includes at least six photographs and no more than 10. However, each individual work will constitute a single photograph and each portfolio will constitute a single work.
9. Participant cannot participate with a portfolio as well as a single photograph in the Main Theme. However, it is allowed to participate with a portfolio in the Main Theme and single photographs in the General Themes.
10. The last date to register and receive participating works is 15 March 2010.
11. Participants must submit their photographs in soft copies on CD or DVD and keep the originals for reference if requested by the Administration of the Competition. Printouts or e-mail attachments will not be accepted.
12. Each CD or DVD must have the participant’s name and code and be mailed along with the participation fees and high quality personal photograph to the following address:

13. Photographs may by in color or black-and-white whether digital or filmed.
14. Photographs can be edited or have additions as long as they are authentic. Copies from or adoptions of works by other artists are not acceptable. Digitally edited or treated photographs are also acceptable.
15. Photographs with scripts or drawings such as signatures are not accepted.
16. Photographs must be submitted in JPG format with large sizes, high quality and at least 300 dpi. Unprintable photographs are not acceptable.
17. To get high quality printouts, it is not advisable to scale down the originals or enlarge or scale down quality settings whether the original are less or more than 300 dpi. Regardless of the camera type, unchanged original definitely gives the best printouts.
18. Single or sequence photographs, synthetic works, panoramic images, medium and large size positive and negative slides as well as negative images, digital images, and artistically treated works are all accepted provided they respect the values and concepts of artistic photography performance.
19. Photographs that have participated in previous session of the Competition are not accepted.

20. Acknowledge their full ownership of their submitted works inclusive of all the elements included in the photographs and creative ideas related to them and declare that the same are not copied or adapt from or including any elements from works by other artists.
21. Acknowledge that the rights related to their submitted photographs have not been assigned, soled, reserved or licensed in any way whatsoever to third party or subject to any restriction that may restrict their full freedom to dispose of the same.
22. Acknowledge that they have obtained all the required approvals with respect to the persons appearing in their photographs or with respect to their exhibiting in books, publications and exhibitions as per the above provisions.
23. Authorize the Competition to exhibit their submitted photographs in exhibitions organized by ADACH inside and outside the UAE.
24. Authorize the Competition to reproduce and publish or allow third parties to reproduce and publish all their submitted photographs through all types of international media outlets, while reserving the intellectual and material rights of the photographers.

25. The Administration of the Competition shall have the right to reject any participation that does not meet the set requirements, objectives or themes without having to present any reasons.
26. Once submitted, participants shall not have the right to withdraw their photographs.
27. The Competition shall not be liable to any loss or damage of any participating work or participation fees resulting from mail service or any other reason whatsoever.
28. The rules and regulations of participation are final. Participation shall constitute an inclusive and prior approval by participants of the above said rules and regulations. Participations that do not observe such rules and regulations shall be rejected.
